Código de avería P006D: This generic powertrain diagnostic trouble code (DTC) typically applies to many OBD-II vehicles. That may include but is not limited to vehicles from Dodge, Cadillac, Fiat, Jeep, Nissan, Chrysler, etc. A stored code P006D means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a discrepancy in the correlating signals between the barometric pressure sensor and the turbocharger/supercharger inlet pressure sensor.   The code P006D is applicable exclusively to vehicles with forced air induction systems. Other stored barometric pressure sensor or forced air induction system codes should be diagnosed and repaired before attempting to diagnose a code P006D. Barometric pressure (air density) is measured in either kilopascal (kPa) units or inches of mercury (Hg), utilizing the barometric pressure sensor. These measurements are input to the PCM as varying degrees of voltage. Barometric pressure and barometric pressure signals are measured in similar increments. The turbocharger/supercharger inlet pressure sensor will typically be of a similar design to the barometric pressure sensor. It also monitors air density. It is most often positioned inside the turbocharger/supercharger inlet hose and it provides the PCM with an appropriate voltage signal reflecting such. If voltage input signals (between the barometric pressure sensor and the turbocharger/supercharger inlet pressure sensor) differ by more than a programmed degree (over a certain period of time and under a particular set of circumstances), a code P006D will be stored, and a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may be illuminated. In some vehicle applications, MIL illumination may require multiple drive cycles with a failure. That may include but is not limited to vehicles from Chevy (Chevrolet), GMC (Duramax), Dodge, Ram (Cummins), Isuzu, Ford, Vauxhall, VW, etc. Although generic, the exact repair steps may vary depending on year, make, model and powertrain configuration. Turbochargers, superchargers, and any other forced induction (FI) systems for that matter, use energy generated from the engine (i.e.: exhaust pulses, belt-driven screw-type, etc.) to increase the amount of air that can be introduced to the combustion chamber (increased volumetric efficiency).   Given the fact that, in forced induction systems, intake pressures need to vary and need to be adjusted according to the operator’s many power needs. Manufacturers use a form of boost control valve (AKA, Waste-gate, boost control solenoid, etc.), which is monitored and controlled by the ECM (Engine Control Module), to make sure the air/fuel mixture is stoichiometric (ideal). It does this, by mechanically adjusting the "vanes" in the charger. These vanes are responsible for adjusting the amount of boost (intake pressure) to the chamber. As you can imagine, a problem within the boost controlling component, may cause drivability issues. The problem is, when the ECM loses control of the boost, typically, your vehicle goes into "limp" mode to avoid engine damage (via over/under-boost conditions causing a potentially damaging rich and/or lean A/F mixture). As far as the letter "A" goes here, it could be to distinguish a connector, wire, circuit group, etc. That said, the manufacturer’s specifications is the best resource you could have for this. The ECM illuminates the check engine light (CEL) with P006E and related codes when it detects a fault within the boost control system. The P006E DTC is activated when the ECM (Engine Control Module) detects a lower than desired electrical value within the "A" boost control supply voltage circuit. Código de avería P0064: This code is a generic powertrain code. It is considered generic because it applies to all makes and models of vehicles (1996-newer), although specific repair steps may be slightly different depending on the model. Oxygen sensors with a heating element are common on today’s engines. Heated Oxygen sensors (HO2S) are inputs used by the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) to determine oxygen content in the exhaust system.   The PCM uses the information gained from the Bank 2, 3 (third) HO2S mainly to monitor the efficiency of the catalytic converter. Integral to this sensor is a heater element. While in pre-OBD II vehicles an Oxygen sensor was a one wire sensor, now they are more commonly 4 wire sensors: Two dedicated to the oxygen sensor and two dedicated to the heater element. The oxygen sensor heater basically decreases the time needed to achieve closed loop. The PCM controls the heater on-time. The PCM also continuously monitors the heater circuits for abnormal voltages or in some cases, even abnormal amperages. Depending on the make of vehicle, the Oxygen sensor heater is controlled one of two ways. (1) The PCM directly controls the voltage feed to the heater either directly or via a HO2S relay and a ground is supplied from the vehicle’s common ground. (2) There is a fused 12 volt Battery feed (B+) that feeds 12 volts to the heater element anytime the ignition is on and the control of the heater is done by a driver in the PCM which controls the ground side of the heater circuit. Finding out which one you have is important because the PCM activates the heater under various circumstances. If the PCM detects an abnormally high voltage condition on the heater circuit, P0064 may set. This code is only referring to the heating circuitry half of the Oxygen sensor. Bank 2 is the side of the engine that does not contain cylinder #1.

Código de avería P0065: This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is a generic powertrain code, which means that it applies to OBD-II equipped vehicles that have an air assisted fuel injector. Brands of vehicles may include but are not limited to Subaru, Jaguar, Chevy, Dodge, VW, Toyota, Honda, etc. but mainly only shows up on Subaru and Jaguar vehicles. Although generic, the specific repair steps may vary depending on make/model/engine. The Air Assisted injector is similar a normal fuel injector. Just like the name implies, it uses air to assist in atomizing the fuel that is being injected/sprayed. In most cases, this particular injector is used to help with cold starts. When your engine is cold, It requires a richer air/fuel mixture (more fuel) in order to start.   The atomization that happens when air is introduced to a normal injector is desired simply because it aids in a more evenly distributed spray. This matters because generally speaking, these systems only use one injector mounted to the throttle body or intake and the atomized fuel spray is distributed between X number cylinders. The ECM (engine control module) illuminates the check engine light with P0065 and associated codes when it monitors a condition outside of a specific range within the Air Assisted Injector’s circuit. Generally speaking this is an electrical issue but sometime an internal malfunction within the injector itself may cause this condition. P0065 Air Assisted Injector Control Range/Performance code is set when the ECM monitors an out of range condition within the injector. This air assisted injector control DTC is closely related to P0066 and P0067.
